I’m enchanted by this photograph of Mesta … The two archaic trees deceptively greet the passing traveler by upholding two tiny beams of sharp, piercing light; they speciously pose as noble and stately guards to the inn. The tiny photometric vibrance of the well-lit place, the luminous flux is emasculated by the majestic, overwhelming soft candor of the quiescent sun. Millions of eras in a sweeping look: from the timeless Grecian horizon, to the archaic medieval structures, down to the modern chairs and tables. Even the illumination seems to reflect less majesty as you sweep down from the glorious incandescent sky to the feeble, artificial, harnessed light on the floor. -Alma Castro
